We had the good fortune of connecting with Dylan Garcia and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dylan, what do you want people to remember about you?
I hope to be remembered for making a difference in people’s lives and having a positive impact on society. If I can use my story of redemption after some of the darkest moments of my life with my mental health experiences to help others, then I’ve accomplished something beyond my music career as a Recording Artist.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I like to consider myself as a Recording Artist that’s distinctively, different. I create music that’s mainly positive and funky because there’s too much negativity in music. I’d rather be an innovative artist pushing a positive and honest narrative music wise. 2023 was a great year with some big performances at The Whisky A Go-Go, Montclair Canyon Club and The Original Lowrider Super Show. This year, I want to focus on making a lasting impact internationally. Currently, a majority of my fan base is in Europe, South America and the United States. I’m pushing to perform worldwide.

The music business is not a get rich quick scheme. I like to attribute my success to patience and never giving up. I never put an expiration date on when I had to be successful. I always knew it would take a long time. I set high expectations on myself as an artist to keep improving so I could be successful when the opportunity presented itself. I own my own record label with distribution and major label capabilities. I’m very proud of the wealth of knowledge I’ve gained the last two decades learning the ins and outs of the music business. Many times learning the hard way, but it didn’t stop me.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a shout-out to my father. My father taught me the true definition of hard work. You had to pull your own weight in my family. My first job was at a recycling yard when I was just 13 years old. That taught me the value of a hard earned dollar. Be at mind, minimum wage back then was $5.00 an hour. Because of that experience at a young age, I learned laziness won’t get you anywhere in life. If you want something, work for it!

When did anything ever get accomplished without hard work?
