Hi Ege, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
As Ege, co-founder of fam°, our journey began with the desire to provide a platform for young illustrators to transition from novices to professionals. Initially, we launched as an online illustration shop, but quickly evolved into a representation agency, and now, a full-fledged creative agency. Our founding was driven not only by a passion for art but also by a commitment to fostering gender equality within the creative sector. At fam°, we aim to break down barriers, offering a space where talent thrives through collaboration, technological integration, and innovative projects that challenge traditional norms.

What should our readers know about your business?
What truly sets us apart is our unique model of building bespoke teams from the vast pool of talent we represent, allowing us to provide both strategic and creative solutions to any project. We pride ourselves on the thriving community we’ve nurtured, growing alongside our artists who have evolved from students to professionals now collaborating with global brands like FIFA, Meta, and Adidas. Operating as a small, women-owned business in Turkey’s challenging economic climate, we’ve made a mark internationally by focusing on quality. We’ve learned the power of finding creative solutions and maintaining a joyful, equitable work environment for sustained success.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First of all visit our gallery next to the Süleymaniye Mosque! We are number 93 within the İstanbul Design Museum. You will have the chance to explore the old city and all the touristic spaces.

You can visit the neighborhoods of Beyoğlu, Moda, Balat, Nişantaşı, Kuzguncuk for authentic strolls.

For breakfast I recommend Boris’in Yeri.

For lunch you can go to Çiya in Kadıköy.

And for dinner I suggest Giritli Restaurant.
