We had the good fortune of connecting with Elizabeth Nelson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Elizabeth, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
I’ve realized over the years the more I give back to me the higher quality of energy I am going to be able to put into my creations. There were so many times I felt I needed to force and push my way through my creative process, only to be faced with exhaustion and loss of joy in what it was I was working on. So after many ups and downs within my business and life in general, I found that in the moments of “rest and digest” I was gifted with the creative juices I was searching for. For so long I was fighting against this flow. There was a balance that I needed to find and once I became aware of the loop I was circling in I was better able to navigate and find room for taking better care of me. Listening when my body was telling me to slow down or when to follow the “feel good” energy from a creative spark. It’s taken a lot of practice and I definitely have moments where my anxiety takes over and I feel like I shoulda or coulda, but in those moments I choose to reflect and check in with my body, trusting that she is going to tell me exactly what I need to hear. So to sum it all up, I have found work life balance within trusting the internal cues my body tells me, knowing that it’s ok to take a break, and to follow your creative spark!

Six Gifts is about feeling good in our body! Providing high quality, natural, and intention based body scrubs. Each scrub encompasses a unique energy ranging from energy clearing, embracing your sensuality and femininity, and healing your heart chakra.

Through my own personal growth I found tools along the way that helped guide me to where I am now.
Self love and self care go hand in hand for me. Taking care of my body, feeding it good food, water, sunshine, and movement. Taking care of me has turned from a “have-to” to a lifestyle.

I have learned that we are ALL alike. We all have our “stuff” that we’ve been gifted to learn from in this human experience. We all have walls that are waiting to be broken down, pain that is waiting to be integrated as our teacher, and emotions that are waiting to be fully felt, seen, and experienced.

My personal experiences have brought me to the conclusion that FEELING GOOD in my body is what makes everything else align.

Six Gifts represents my journey in loving myself from the inside out. It represents my heart and the work I have done to break down the internal walls that have kept me playing small. It represents the love I now have for myself and the love that I wish to share with others.

I am still learning, experiencing, and growing and in that my products and services are ever evolving.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’ve had a lot of supportive people in my life. From friends, lovers, acquaintances; they’ve all somehow brought me to where I am at now on my journey. To name a few specifically my girls Natashia Pandther and Tara Tatangelo have really helped me remember and step deeper into my awakening of who I am. My partner Josh Sedgwick for not only supporting me physically, mentally, and emotionally, but for also being a loving shoulder to cry on in those moments of doubting myself. I am so grateful for all who have chosen to be apart of my journey wether here in the physical or not.
