We had the good fortune of connecting with Elle Keller and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Elle, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
I want to be fulfilled. I want to know that I have made an impact on how women see themselves and their bodies. I want to have inspired someone to own their sexuality, create their art, or empower others. I want to have listened and laughed and cried along to the stories of vulnerability. I want to have a sisterhood of other women around me who want the same.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I originally started out on the other side of the camera as a model. However, after hearing so many horror stories about unsafe shoots, I decided to turn my attention to the other side of the camera. I wanted to give other womxn of all ethnicities and body types the opportunity to have a safe environment to shoot sets.

I bought a camera, read a lot, and watched a lot of videos. I went to Photo Meets, offered free and discounted shoots, and had some wonderful friends let me shoot them.

I started out doing lifestyle shoots, but migrated to boudoir when I began to fall in love with how clients viewed themselves in a different light after receiving the images.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
This is such a fun question!

If I pretend LA traffic isn’t a thing, a day would look like this:

-Start with brunch and bottomless mimosas at Hungry Crowd
-Quick stop over to the Beard Lady’s Mystic Museum
-Shop around at the abundance of Thrift & Vintage Stores nearby
-Pop in for a necessary Boba drink
-Lunch with all you can eat sushi at Xevichez sushi bar
-Prepare a picnic for movies at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery
-Drinks and live music at Harvard & Stone
-End the night with late night tacos at Leo’s Taco Truck The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Absolutely!

I would love to give credit to everyone who has trusted being in front of my camera!
Thank you to everyone who was comfortable being vulnerable with their stories and their bodies.
You are all fabulous people I’ve met along the way!

Plus, I literally couldn’t do my job without you!
