We had the good fortune of connecting with Elliott Pittam and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Elliott, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I had worked for other people my whole life and found it rather depressing.
I needed to make something change out of desperation.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I had been tattooing for over a decade and desperately wanted to break away from the routine and rules that go with it. In a bi-polar move going from black and grey highly detailed work. In this I found colour and simplicity very rewarding while painting. Working on large scale contemporary pieces and trying to stick to my own authenticity in a society that begs influence every time you open your phone.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
You’d be better off asking my partner, she’s the social one.
I tend to stick to where we live.
London fields area/ Broadway market.
For us it’s home, we live and work in this area and our son goes to school here so we are stuck in our little bubble a lot.
But for good reason.
The food market on the weekend is excellent. You have the flower market on Sundays. Great places to drink around Wilton way. And amazing food at places like dalla. All around London fields park which is full of life and energy.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My partner @kararosemarshall
Always believing and giving me confidence
My old boss/friend @liamsparkesok
Taught me a lot and achieved a lot. Very inspiration.
