Meet Elsa Wörmann | Actress

We had the good fortune of connecting with Elsa Wörmann and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Elsa, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
‘Give a shit, have a thought’. To me it means a lot when it comes to acting, but it’s very applicable in real life too. To care, to make your character care. Everyone cares about something and it’s only you that can decide how to show it or not show it. It’s A quote I got from my amazing teacher Megan McNulty at ucla
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
One of the accomplishments I’m most proud of is the short film ‘Don’t mention me’ that I created during my time in Los Angeles.
Gosh it was challenging to be producer, actress and director at the same time. Yet veeery rewarding.
At first I was scared to write about something so personal, but I feel like my time at UCLA where all my classmates opened up about such personal things while pitching ideas, made it easier.
And also, creating things like this is about taking action and simply doing shit. I’ve realized that waiting for the perfect moment or the perfect script won’t get me anywhere. The most celebrated directors and filmmakers in history have (likely) made their fair share of less-than-perfect projects before they created something that resonated with audiences and critics alike. It gave me a deep appreciation for the collaborative nature of filmmaking. You’re only as good as your crew.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Rent a car and drive around the city, eat drive in food, go vintage shopping, have a beer at the Malibu beach. Also – Go to Bar Lis on a thursday, try to make friends, and hopefully you’ll get invited to a hollywood hills house with a pool and fancy drinks afterwards.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Aaw this is the cliche one but I need to say shoutout to my childhood! The more I learn and grow I realize how important your attitude towards other people and new, unknown things and concepts are. And I feel like my parents gave me a very non-judgemental way of looking at life and arts. I believe that when you approach life and art with an open heart and an absence of judgment, the possibilities for growth are boundless.
