We had the good fortune of connecting with Emil Gasparian and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Emil, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I don’t think I’m a businessman, in fact I’m not a risk taker at all. And if there was risk involved in Photography I probably would not be doing photography or be where I am today. I did not invest in photography equipment because I was starting a business, I got into photography because I love taking pictures especially people and events.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My career journey has been a dynamic blend of determination, adaptability, and continuous growth. What sets me apart is my unwavering commitment to pushing boundaries, embracing change, and leveraging my skills to make a tangible impact. I take pride in my ability to blend creativity with analytical thinking, allowing me to approach challenges from multiple angles and craft innovative solutions.

Getting to where I am today professionally was no walk in the park. It was more like a series of uphill climbs, each one tougher than the last. But it’s those very challenges that have shaped me. They forced me to evolve, to refine my strategies, and to cultivate resilience. Easy? Far from it. But it’s those moments of struggle that have taught me some of the most invaluable lessons.

I’ve learned that setbacks aren’t roadblocks; they’re stepping stones. Every obstacle is a chance to learn, adapt, and come back stronger. I’ve discovered the power of networking – connecting with people who bring different perspectives and experiences to the table. Collaboration is a force multiplier. And I’ve embraced the beauty of failure – it’s not an end but a pivot point, a source of wisdom that propels you forward.

In this ever-changing landscape, I’ve come to understand that success is a journey, not a destination. It’s about consistently challenging myself, seeking growth, and remaining adaptable. I want the world to know that my story is one of perseverance, innovation, and a genuine passion for what I do. My brand is built on the foundation of hard work and a desire to create meaningful impact. So, here’s to embracing challenges, celebrating victories, and continually pushing the envelope – that’s what my story is all about.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Over the course of a week, I’d take my best friend on a memorable adventure: exploring the historic district and enjoying brunch at a local café, indulging in outdoor activities like hiking and kayaking, immersing ourselves in the arts with gallery visits and a live theater show, savoring a food tour and dining at top-notch restaurants, finding relaxation through wellness activities and spa treatments, embracing thrilling adventures like zip-lining and skydiving, and wrapping up the trip with a farewell brunch, shopping for souvenirs, and a rooftop dinner. It’s a perfect blend of local culture, outdoor excitement, culinary delights, and relaxation, offering a taste of everything our area has to offer!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’ve got to give credit where it’s due, and that credit belongs right here. This journey, this success, it’s all a result of the hustle, sweat, and grind that I put in.
