Meet Enrico Bachmann | Founder of hundeo

We had the good fortune of connecting with Enrico Bachmann and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Enrico, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
The idea originated from our own need. In 2016, my girlfriend and I had made the decision to get a dog. It was our first dog and we chose a pug. We thought that pugs are sweet and calm dogs and perfect for first-time dog owners. But when our puppy moved in with us, we realized how much energy he had and how much responsibility a dog owner has. We had read through a few books and blogs on dogs, but they rarely had any real step-by-step instructions on how to raise a healthy and happy puppy. I was dissatisfied with the solutions that were available and decided to create something on my own. I was convinced that the best solution for a young dog owner would be an app that you can always have with you, get advice at any time, and the tips would also be prepared with step-by-step video instructions. It was also important to me that it would not only be about the basics of training. I believe that every dog owner should also have good knowledge on the health & nutrition of their dog. As a result, in 2017, the website hundeo.com was created and due to the success of the website, we were finally able to fulfill the dream of our own app in 2021. A holistic dog training app that demonstrates everything in a fun and playful way, step by step.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
It was important to us from the very beginning to create a special experience as an app. Our dog training app has a holistic approach. Here you don’t just learn a bit about dog obedience. Here, a positive approach is chosen, so that the dog is also healthy and happy. The app itself can be used anywhere through the offline mode and is therefore the perfect companion through life with the dog.

From the idea to the goal, it also took us 5 years. Therefore, I believe that you should just have enough discipline and patience, then you usually achieve your goals.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Santa Monica would be a cool place to show. I really enjoy a day at the beach with nice weather. Maybe by the end of the week I would show the Hollywood Bowl and enjoy a few shows.

I’m very grateful that nowadays you can find mentors anywhere in the world, even if you don’t see them. I have discovered many mentors through books, podcasts, and YouTube, whose insights are invaluable to me. So I would like to give a shootout to Tony Robbins and Gary Vaynerchuk.
