We had the good fortune of connecting with Enzo Ferrari and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Enzo, why did you pursue a creative career?
Even before I started making music, tattooing and being this creative junkie, I just felt like I was born to be someone inspiring. I’ve always thrived in creative environments so I kind of just put energy into the things I loved and the rest is on God and divine timing. I couldn’t see myself doing something outside of the arts anways. The places and people it continues to introduce me to has been life changing.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My career has been so traumatic but so fortunate at the same time. I still don’t want to disclose all the information surrounding it but I did have to watch Kamron pass away. It was some freak accident that happened in the room I had recently moved into shortly after we got to Los Angeles. So that off rip kind of like pushed me into this “I cant let his death be for nothing” mind set. I used to be a recording engineer at various studios throughout LA but after he passed I decided to pick up his tattoo machine because it just wasn’t consistent enough for me. At first I was just tattooing in my house and learning what I could from other friends and YouTube videos – which was cool because I got to tattoo the likes of Isaiah Rashad, SiR, Bearface and Jabari from BROCKHAMTPON during that time period. Then through the grace of God and divine timing, @inkbypnut decided to open up 1UpInk West and take me on as one of his apprentices. What set me apart from everyone within the anime tattoo community was the prices I had decided to start promoting so I could have more consistency tattooing. I wanted to apply everything Pnut had taught me as often as I could. So, I posted that I was doing $150-250 manga panels and it just blew up. I believe that was about a year in when I went from being an apprentice to one of the top artists in the shop practically overnight. That then led me to being able to have a stable income as an independent artist so I could have the money to pay for music videos, photo shoots, clothes, f*ck I was even able to buy myself a car. My foots been on the gas since. Everyone has a story, I think people should use that as inspiration. Follow your dreams and don’t let people distract you. Love what you do and the rest will follow. If you’ve been through trauma, use it as fuel to keep the fire going. I owe it to myself at this point to be the most groundbreaking musician/tattoo artist the world has ever seen. I’m proud of everything I’ve done up to this point, but I want to see how far I can take this music and tattoo thing.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Go to Avenue 26 for some of the finest street tacos Los Angeles has to offer. @plotline316 always posts events that are going on every day in Los Angeles but I like this one spot called The Friend. Since they’re in town for a week, definitely gotta take them to a Dodgers game, And if you’re new to the Enzo Ferrari show you know I love to skate so maybe hit the PCH and go Malibu skatepark.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’ll keep the list short and sweet. THE ANIME COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE. From giving me my first viral moment upon getting the Reaper Death Seal as a back tattoo – to then garnering me hundreds of tattoo clients after advertising that I was offering very affordable anime tattoos in Los Angeles, they %100 deserve a shout out. I love my anime followers/supporters/clients. Honorary mentions: 1. @inkbypnut for being my tattoo mentor, he’s always pushing me to keep going hard. 2. Mike Rooney – he’s always believed in me throughout all my endeavors as an artist and I’m really blessed to have someone like him in my corner. 3. Yellow Trash Can (@yellowtrashcan_) – my two best friends Jitt (@jittaonthetrack) and Jason (@floornug). They’re just creative madmen, you should totally interview them. 4. Turtle! (@prodbyturle) He edits all my music videos and makes me look like a rockstar so he definitely deserves to be on this list of credit. And last but not least – Kamron Culpepper (@kamrongotdachoppa) – he was my best friend I moved to LA with who’s no longer here with us due to the most traumatic event thats ever happened to me, which I won’t disclose here, but his passing drove me to never lose sight of my vision and eventually pick up that tattoo machine.
