Hi Eric, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting my own men’s clothing line was a dream I had nurtured for years. I wanted to create stylish, high-quality clothing that would make men feel confident and comfortable. I saw a gap in the market for quality, well-designed pieces that catered to a diverse range of tastes. So, I decided to take the leap and turn my passion into a business, driven by a desire to help men look and feel their best.

What should our readers know about your business?
 Let me tell you about Amethyst Snow, my passion project in the world of men’s fashion, set to launch in winter 2024. It’s not just a clothing line; it’s a reflection of my love for quality, style, and inclusivity. What makes us unique is our blend of streetwear and nightlife fashion, creating clothes that are both comfy and distinct. As a black gay business owner, I’m thrilled to promote diversity in the fashion industry. Our brand is all about inclusivity, catering to a wide range of taste and backgrounds. Starting this journey wasn’t easy, but it taught me the importance of staying adaptable and building a supportive network. Amethyst Snow is more than just fashion; it’s a celebration of creativity, innovation, and the strength of diversity. I hope to inspire others, especially my fellow Black entrepreneurs, to pursue their dreams and leave their mark in this industries. Join us as we get ready to make waves in men’s fashion!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Absolutely! When your friends visit Santa Monica and Los Angeles, get ready for a memorable time. Start with a day at Santa Monica Beach and the iconic Pier, followed by seafood at The Lobster. Explore Third Street Promenade and the Getty Villa’s gardens. Get panoramic city views at Griffith Observatory and enjoy Italian food at Bestia. Dive into Hollywood with a studio tour at Universal Studios and stroll along Hollywood Boulevard. For art lovers, The Broad downtown is a must-see, and don’t miss the beachy vibes of Venice Beach and Abbot Kinney. End with a scenic drive to Malibu, dinner at Nobu Malibu It’s a mix of beach, culture, and great food your friends will love!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I really want to take a moment to show my deep appreciation to two very special women in my life. My mother and grandmother. They have been my fashion role models and my biggest supporters all along. Their words of encouragement have meant everything to me. Shoutout to my aunt. I appreciate all the love and support that you have shown me. You are always under my comments on social media cheering me on and it makes my heart full just to see your support. I also can’t forget my awesome nephew, nieces, and my sister. You four have taught me the value of staying true to who I am. To my dear friends and my work wife, they have been my guiding stars on this journey. Your unwavering belief in me has been like a boost of confidence I can’t put into words. And last but not least, a big shoutout to the incredible team I’ve had the privilege to work with.
