We had the good fortune of connecting with Erin Rose Ward and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Erin Rose, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
For me, what feels in alignment is what has brought me the most joy and peace to follow. Even if it seems like a risk, I know that following intuition and one’s truth will always bring goodness. Sometimes it doesn’t look or turn out the way I planned, but that feeling of action in alignment with truth is always worth it. I also heard some one say the other day “follow your hard.” If it is bringing up the discomfort or the butterflies, but something in you is nodding yes, then that’s where you go.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I see teaching as an art form, one that I feel passionately about and find to be sacred. I came to teaching embodiment practices and meditation because these were the practices that saved my life when I was in the grips of an eating disorder when I was younger. I found a refuge and a peace inside myself I didn’t know was possible, and I wanted to bring more of that into the world. It hasn’t always been easy, especially navigating financial reality while creating, but the richness I feel from doing something I love and that spreads love is worth more than anything.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would wake up to go to the east side to hike Griffith Park for sunrise. Along with Mychal (my fiancé) we’d find the best breakfast burritos out there. A breakfast burrito tour! We’d do plenty of hiking, and definitely Malibu creek state park. I’d love to take them to Pause Float to experience the float tank, and then to the Bulletproof Labs for their Virtual Float Tank. Of course, I’d want to gather (safely) with friends and to meet all the incredible people that live in LA. We’d also go on my roof, play music, watch whatever stars came out and enjoy some quality cannabis, And of course, movie nights, home made popcorn, and snuggles.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Big shout out to my partner Mychal Prieto for embodying the conscious, loving masculine and being a rock, tree, and a light beam.
