We had the good fortune of connecting with Fabian Gutierrez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Fabian, what inspires you?
A better tomorrow for me and the people around me. If I could find lifetime success and stability from fighting then I don’t think I really have much else to ask for. Everything else that comes would just be more to be proud of and grateful for. Success to me is being able to do what I love for a living.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am an amateur fighter coming out of Ronin Tactical Fitness in Long Island, New York. I would say what sets me apart from others is my relentless work ethic and dedication to my craft. At times it isn’t easy to keep up the work load I give myself but I have to remind myself of the goal. Training Muay Thai, Boxing & Kickboxing have taught me so much about myself and that the only thing that can get me to where I want to be is hard work and discipline. I’ve also learned to balance real life responsibilities like my day job and personal training people on the side. This in addition to keeping myself in shape and constantly improving is a lot to juggle at times but I like to think I do a pretty good job. I do this so one day I can be successful and known for what I do best.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My area is a bit more on the quiet side besides a couple good spots to grab eats but if my best friend were visiting I would bring them to almost any part of Queens or Lower East Side Manhattan. So many great and different places to eat for any budget or taste. I also love to go to Mets games at Citi Field or a basketball game at the Barclays or MSG. The great thing about New York is that you can go out in any of the five boroughs and find something to do at almost any time.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to give a shoutout to my team at Ronin Tactical Fitness for getting me back and keeping me fight ready. Especially my coach Jay and my teammate Joey for being a huge help and always getting work on off hours. Also shoutout to my guys at Secluded Archive for being some of the dopest creatives and business partners over these past few years. Y’all make all the hard work easier knowing I have so many good people that I refuse to let down.
