We had the good fortune of connecting with Fabrizio Daniele and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Fabrizio, what role has risk played in your life or career?
You know, I once read something along the lines of: “Do what is easy, and your life will be hard. Do what is hard, and your life will be easy!” Having to take risks, increases the stakes of the possible outcome. I deeply believe that the higher the stakes, the more effort, passion and commitment one will put into his or her work. So taking risks has been my absolute mantra in life, and it all started with my parents. They took a huge risk by leaving their country and immigrate to Switzerland. I’m just following a very good example by coming to the US and leaving my comfort-zone behind.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a truly unique and unapologetic artist that wants to bring roaring comedy and heart-wrenching drama to life. Whether it’s as an actor on stage or in front of the camera, directing or producing a motion picture or by just talking and writing about my life and experiences. My dedication to telling inspiring stories in the United States and across the globe fuels my determination and devotion to the art of storytelling.

In order to do that, I had to give up the the best possible comfort-zone one can imagine. I was working as a broker, and I was earning a very good income. I knew everyday of my life though, that something was missing. That sparked my curiosity to embark the ship called adventure.

I literally left everything behind and for the first time in my life I did what was hard. Every single day ever since was tough, but my life has never been easier. Every penny I had to save, every drop of sweat, and every tear of exhaustion or fear made me work harder than ever.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Before I would show him any fancy places or go shopping in Beverly Hills, I would walk him around Hollywood, Korea Town or Downtown LA and I would show him all the people that aren’t as lucky as I am. Seeing that poverty breaks my heart, but it also reminds me every single day of my life to be thankful. I would start every sightseeing with that. Before they go and enjoy the beach or go shopping. I want them to be thankful for having the opportunity to spend money on a new pair of shoes or have a dinner in Malibu.

After that I would show them some of my favorite spots, like the rooftop bar Spire 73. I would take them to play golf on Griffith Park and enjoy the beautiful view. I would also drive outside of LA to show them some of the beauty outside: Mountains, Deserts, Beaches etc.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicated my shoutout to my family. My parents, my sister and my uncle and cousins in CT. They have been the biggest support so far in my life and have helped me in any way possible. I am who I am today because of my family and they are the biggest reason I want to tell stories.
