Meet Fahad Salam | Producer & Video Engineer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Fahad Salam and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Fahad, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I wear different hats different times in my journey so far but most importantly when I wear a producer hat that leads me to believe in my abilities. I opened several doors on my producing hat on and one of the door is right now Lucky Production LA Inc. Where I am currently providing Video Engineering service with other film production services. This is the only place where I never get bored and learn something new every time whenever we craft.
Providing services in Hollywood was never in my dream since I grew up in such a small part of a third world country but I just focus on pushing myself forward to learn more from the road I’m on.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Proud to be the only Bangladeshi Y4 Video Engineer, Member at IATSE Local 695 & Founder of Lucky Production LA Inc.
Obviously the road is still uneven but I believe in me so still finding several even areas, lights & good hearts.
My first paid job was promoting/introducing products like Internet modems, cell phones etc to the walking people in the streets then it leads me to event management, after few years later I found myself working in broadcasting companies worked on several TV shows ended up working as a associate producer, freelance producer/director. None of the projects I was involved or making giving me satisfaction, feels like I was missing something. So God helped me with a full bright scholarship and landed in Green Bay Wisconsin. Finished my Associate on Film making then did Business entertainment Management from UCLA.
Hearing my USA journey might sound amusing but finding exact career, business and life was not smooth specially for an immigrant.
During & after Covid business changes was not easy but I was optimistic about learning video engineering & since then I created my client base and serving Hollywood productions last 5 years.
Lucky Production LA Inc. we used specific softwares, professional grade film equipments to bring possibilities into making motion pictures. Whenever we see a car commercial or maybe fantasy movie/TV Shows or music video accuracy is on each frame is super important for million dollars productions. Me & my team provides that service to watch in person/remote multiple cameras, live green/blue screen composite, live grading, transcoding, digital asset management & obviously wireless connectivity. Lucky Production LA Inc. never responded “NO” whenever Film director/producer need to see the frame because the camera might be on the Helicopter/Skydivers helmet/Boat/f1 Cars or maybe director is directing from different time zone. Brands like Apple, Amazon, Google, Yahoo, EA Sports, Nike, Adidas, T-Mobile, Saint Laurent, Skims, H&M, Premier League, Gray Goose, Pacifico, Starbucks, BMW, Nissan, Mazda; Actors like Tom Cruise, Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot, Rayan Reynolds, Blake Lively; Artist like Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Lion Richie, Katy Perry, Ariana Garande, Cardi B etc already happy with our services & hiring us frequently. Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’m super grateful to GOD & My Family. Special shoutout to my Mom & My Beautiful Wife. Without this two blessings my journey would have never been easy. Also I am super grateful to the people who opened up & shut down their doors. Special thanks to my mentor Gene Balitski for all the early experiences.
