We had the good fortune of connecting with Faritza Chavarria and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi faritza, why did you pursue a creative career?
I pursued an artistic / creative career because it gives me the ability to be myself and stay true to who I am as a person. I’ve been on this journey for 27+ years. Art and design is a big part of my life it is my purpose and calling

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am an artist who does a little bit of everything from drawing, painting, graphic design, photography, home decorating, makeup and DIY’s. There is a lot of personality that goes into what I create. Think goth, alternative rock, girly, bold, whimsical. What sets me apart from others as an artist is my authenticity. When you show up fully as yourself being passionate and dedicated to your craft your energy becomes magnetic and I know that shows through my work and everything I do. I want people to be able to relate to my work and be inspired by it. I’m excited to continue my journey and see where it takes me. I got to where I am today professionally by following my passion ever since I was a little girl and never giving up on my creative journey. It has not been easy, but I know it is all worth it. I know I am meant to inspire, guide, and help others through my art. The work I create is reflected on my personality, I am inspired by bold and clean art/design. I love abstract and bold line work. Yellow is my signature color and is the color I use in most of my work. Everything I create is unique, different and empowering just like my name (Faritza) as both my name and work are original, unique and bold. So that’s what I portray in the work I create. In 2024 I created Faritza the artist which is a brand focusing on art, design, photography and makeup it is an all in one brand. it is still on its early stages and being developed.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting the area for a week I would take them to In N Out, Universal Studios Hollywood, and some art museums. Some of the most fun places to check out for me would be any place I haven’t discovered yet. I love spontaneous adventures as they aren’t planned which makes it more fun. I also love events and networking with other creatives like me.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want. to dedicate this to the people who have helped me in my creative journey. The people who have supported me and believed in me. People I have learned from to develop my skills as a professional. College professors, colleagues from previous jobs who have trained me on my career path allowing me to grow and other artists I went to school with who have inspired me on my journey.
