We had the good fortune of connecting with Francine Ayala and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Francine, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
My business was created out of depression. I wanted to create a space for women to connect and feel inspired. In return, this allowed me to pull myself together and create a platform to empower women in Los Angeles and now all around the world. This is how WEWLA (Women Empowering Women Los Angeles) was formed. We then began hosting women empowerment summits and conferences so that we could reach women on a larger scale. Our mission then grew to establish a nonprofit to expand even bigger into other states and go global. We are currently working with several women in Latin America to bring these events there and we are beyond grateful for the impact that our events are bringing to women all over the world. These events focus on self care, mindfulness, health & wellness, as well as business growth, public speaking, relationship building, and social media presence. Our events leave our attendees feeling excited, awakened, and ready to take action in their own lives. The women we have the pleasure of connecting with are women who also want to influence and motivate more women and children around the world. We feel truly honored and blessed to have created the momentum.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’ve been told that I have this energy and authenticity that I present when I meet others. It’s always very humbling to hear because it’s who I am inside. I truly built my brand and business on relationship building and networking throughout the years. People who know, love, and trust me will often send me referrals and I am honored because of this.

I got to where I’m at by speaking it out into existence. This is something I wanted. Something I was passionate about so I continued to tell more and more people. It wasn’t easy because I didn’t know how to create the plan I had so it took many hours of training to figure it out. On days I felt frustrated, I would connect to mastermind groups and connect with women who were figuring it out. I began to ask questions. I immersed myself into learning what I didn’t know and hiring someone else to figure out the rest.

I want the world to know that no matter where you’re at in life, you are the creator and author of your story so choose to either keep writing it or rip off the page and start fresh. Create a plan of where you want your life or career to go and begin putting steps into action that will move you forward. Don’t feel defeated. Tomorrow is a new day. Lastly, love and treat everyone the same with love and compassion. The CEO all the way to the maintenance person. That is what truly makes you stand out.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would first ask what they would be interested in seeing because we have the mountains, the beach, or the city all within an hour away. We would then eat at some local places I’ve found that support small businesses in the communities we visit. We would brunch on the beach and hike our beautiful mountains. We also have Disneyland nearby and can make a whole day out of it or drive and hour away to Universal Studios or Magic Mountain. There is so much to see in the LA and OC areas.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family and friends were my biggest supporters when I felt like quitting. I don’t know how I would have persevered without them. I met several people along my journey who inspired me and would love to thank them. Sarah Centrella, Leyna Ngyuen, Wendy Porter, Wendy Amara, Ana Robles, Stacey O’Byrne, and Veronica Corona who provided positive posts and value to me on days I felt defeated. Sending them a huge hug and thank you!
