We had the good fortune of connecting with Frank Minano and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Frank, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
Making out schedules with timelines. Finishing projects early.
Always have a back up plan.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
When I was starting out, my mentor commented that if you a choosing this business, you have to go after the work and not wait until it comes to you. That said, in 1990 my wife and founded a non-profit theater arts company in 1990 and have been producing ever since. A combination of my business education and the arts has been the foundation in keeping the non-profit financially sound and able to ride the ups and downs of the economy and public appeal.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Start out in with a morning walk at the Arboretum in Arcadia, then proceed to driving around Hollywood and Beverly Hills. Then it is time for lunch at Philippe’s. Then it is time for a drive down the coast starting at Long Beach and working your way down to San Clemente. Dinner has to be Mexican, so my favorite spot is South of Nick’s in San Clemente. Finish up with a live show at either, South Coast Repertory Theatre or North Coast Repertory Theatre,

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many that I need to credit for my journey in life: first my mom who said I can do anything, my wonderful teachers and instructors, my theatrical mentor, my bosses that challenge me, my wonderful wife and oldest sister, and finally and most important to Christ who gave me all my gifts.
