We had the good fortune of connecting with FTS Don Ron and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi FTS Don, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Honestly , I pursued my artistry subconsciously . I always grew up freestyling outside of the corner store , or at the basketball court . I only started to take it seriously when I started to go through very trying times of life . I unfortunately lost my dad and 9 friends in 2020. And honestly the only thing that helped me cope was to write lyrics or go to the studio and record . Once I had people liking my music & got the oppurtunity to monetize it. It basically took over as my coping mechanism . And I decided it would be something I do forever

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a recording artist , who has been starting to recently get into acting . I was playing football in college when I got the opportunity to move out west to pursue what was just a dream of mine . To be honest , I got here by being myself and living with a simple set of rules . Love and Respect ; and treat people how you want to be treated. Your network is your net worth. I overcome challenges by being my self and remaining optimistic that things will always turn out for the better. This is a lot easier said than done . Some lessons I’ve learned are not to be as in a rush to succeed. Some people paint pictures to get things out of you , even something as innocent as your energy. If I could tell the world anytbing , I just want them to know to be yourself and attract what you want. Seeking things out is fine, however when you align with what it is you’re yearning for . It will come to you. All you have to do is be consistent in who you are , and work hard . My brand is me. I want to be an example for everyone on earth . That oppurtunity comes to those who can align and work hard .

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well, I would personally take them first to the liquor store Hahahha, then to El Zara or tacos for some queso birria, I would then take them to a beach like Malibu or Venice and microdose some shrooms . And then I would have a pregame at my crib , or at someone’s pool. And proceed to go wherever the night takes us . Hiking , and going to the beach are my favorite day time activities . Nighttime here is unreal so it’s hard to actually plan anything

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to shout out my Mom , my Dad , my brothers . My step dad . My auntie Cynthia and all my family and my cousins . I secondly would love to shout out Cee Smith , as well as my buddy Marco and a guy named Wazo daveed. And my Buddy Royal. All of these people played a very crucial part of the life I’m currently live
