We had the good fortune of connecting with Futuresight Studio and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Futuresight, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Hardships. Our first thought is that since my partner and I are both freelances and more often then not, each individual does not have the same strength as a group. This idea drove me and my partner to start and grow our own team, to pool all of our resources together so that we can help each other out and grow together.

What should our readers know about your business?
We are a two-women founded boutique video production company and the special thing about us is that we are both relative young and believe that we have fresh idea for an industry that is constantly changing. We are able to stay ahead of the trend and can always keep up with the new changes the in the industry. We are very proud of the fact that we are two minority women trying to break in this industry that is still predominantly white and male. We pride ourselves to be the platform and voices of the story of the minorities.
The process was never easy since we are young and people tends to associate youth with inexperienced but in fact, we have been in the business for a while now and one of our partner Rj Wang, has been producing videos since she was a teenager. She has been in the industry for almost 10 years. We believe that outcome is the best calling card and we have finished our first feature film last year called “Hide”, a grappling thriller about a mystery happened in a remote town. It won multiple international awards and currently in talks with distribution.
The lesson we learned is to never give up, no matter what the odds are. We would like to let everyone know that we are here to help people realizing their visions and to tell stories that has social impact on our society.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Since we are a video and photography studio, we would like to suggest all the great places in LA for a good photoshoot such as Griffith Observatory, Pasadena City Hall, Santa Monica Pier, Angeles National Forest, Hollywood Blvd and many other great places.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We would like to shout to all the friends and partners that we had worked with in the past and the new ones that we would meet and collaborate in the future. We couldn’t do anything without all of them, We are forever grateful for the people who would entrust us with their vision and the ones that would join us to help us realizing them.
