Hi G. S., do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
One of the key habits that has fueled my success is embracing the idea that being myself is my greatest asset. Just as our fingerprints are uniquely ours, I’ve found that staying true to my self has been essential in making my personal mark on the world of writing. I’ve sought out ways to use a distinctive writing voice and narrative style that stands apart in the crowded literary world. I’ve learned that individuality is our strength—it’s what allows us to stand out and make a genuine impact.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art, or rather my writing, is a blend of humor, satire, and profound insight into the human condition. What sets me apart is my ability to weave everyday absurdities into captivating narratives that resonate on multiple levels. Whether it’s a seemingly mundane moment or a chaotic twist of fate, I strive to reveal the hidden humor and depth within.

I’m particularly proud of my work, ‘Meth Murder & Amazon’, which has not only become a mainstay in Amazon’s Top 100 Best Sellers in humor but has also showcased my knack for turning life’s curveballs into literary comedic gold. It’s been a journey filled with unexpected detours, from grappling with the challenges of writing to navigating the complex world of book marketing.

Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy. The path to becoming an established author involved overcoming numerous obstacles, including balancing writing with a demanding career in cybersecurity and dealing with personal challenges. The key to overcoming these hurdles has been first and foremost God and my family. Each setback taught me valuable lessons about perseverance, adaptability, and the importance of staying true to my voice.

One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is that success is often born from the willingness to embrace failure and learn from it. Every rejection letter and critique has been a stepping stone, guiding me toward becoming a better writer and storyteller.

What I want the world to know about my brand and story is that they are built on the foundation of authenticity and humor. My goal is to create works that not only entertain but also offer readers a fresh perspective on life’s complexities. Through my writing, I hope to connect with others who find joy in the absurd and strength in the face of adversity.

In essence, my art is a reflection of my belief that life, with all its quirks and challenges, can be both deeply meaningful and incredibly entertaining. I invite readers to join me on this journey and discover the unique blend of wit and wisdom that defines my work.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
It’s gotta be God and my family. Without them I wouldn’t be where I’m at today. I’ve been blessed to be married to my wife for 19 years and we have 5 children. Even more amazing we recently found out a 6th is on the way. We’ve experienced a ton of highs and lows along the way, but it’s God that has held everything together and continues to provide and in abundance. Even in the storms of life, He’s the constant peace we can always turn to.
