Meet Gabriela Mclain: Celebrity trainer and fitness coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Gabriela Mclain and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Gabriela, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
One of my main focuses was to create a program that would inable me to weed out bad habits. I basically needed to challenge myself and practice what I preached. By doing this I had to change my eating habits and sticking to them for example. I followed my meal plan and I started seeing and feeling results in my body and mind.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a Personal Trainer and Lifestyle Coach with 20 years experience helping clients reach health goals through mindset conditioning, nutrition planning and fitness training. Some of my clients include Viola Davis, Lee Rose and Jordan Sparks.. Growing up as an athlete, I valued physical fitness and fell in love with dancing. This led to my professional dancing career and performing on TV shows and music videos for some of Europe’s biggest stars. My passion for dance, Martial arts and fitness inspired me to co-create a cardio style workout called Taerobic. Unfortunately, a few years later, I sustained a major hip injury which forced me to re-evaluate my dancing career. One of my main strengths is resilience. I was not going to let this injury defeat me. In my eagerness and determination, I became a certified personal trainer, which inspired me to rebuild myself, and gave me the forsite to eventually help others with similar injuries. I continued to work for several years as a successful trainer, working in a private gym and training an array of personal clients in the entertainment field. I eventually got married, and after my first pregnancy, I was diagnosed with an Autoimmune Disorder. Once again this health struggle gave me the determination to knock down all obstacles, and with due diligence, I developed my own unique fitness program called GFit System. This system specializes in anti inflammatory nutrition, fitness routines for injured bodies, agility training, and at home workouts.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The 1st day I would take my best friend to see the beautiful coast line. I would take a drive up PCH so they can see how beautiful our beaches are.
The next day I would take them on a drive down Mulholland to get a great view of the city. After that we would dine at one of my favorite sushi restaurants.
Day 3 we would drive to Big Bear and do some awesome hiking in enjoy some beautiful sights.
Day 4 would be an awesome trip to Universal Studios to see how some of the greatest movies are made.
Day 5 we are heading up to the beautiful Dutch town of Solvang for some wine tasting and good eats.
Day 6 is a long relaxing day at the beach with our feet in the sand and cell phones off.
Day 7 is a walk down Hollywood Boulevard for some photo Ops and a glance at all the stars.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to send a shoutout to my husband Aaron Mclain for all his support, and for helping me with my videos with editing and scoring music. I’d also like to send a shoutout to my very good friend Teri Celosky for all her support and assistance with my Fit Club and my videos.
