We had the good fortune of connecting with Ghost Artistry and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ghost, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
I would say the most important lesson my makeup career as taught me is to show gratitude and to not look over the little steps. It’s important to remember that all the small consistent steps are what lead to the bigger jobs. Whenever I accomplish something I typically move on to the next goal. But it’s important to acknowledge that you achieved a goal and to celebrate your wins.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from others is my attention to detail and wanting to embrace my clients unique beauty. I am all about enhancing someone’s features and not covering them up. I got where I am today but not giving up and believing in myself. I went to cosmetology school and have taken Makeup masterclasses from amazing artists to help me get the education I have today. It hasn’t been an easy road but there is no success without struggles. Without struggles there wouldn’t be the wins. Lessons I have learned along the way is to never give up and to be kind. I want the world to know me, I am Ghost. I am a makeup artist that loves creativity and I love making people feel beautiful inside and out. My story is still continuing, I have a lot more I want to accomplish!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am still new to LA and I am still figuring out all the cool spots to go to. I would say I would take my friends to Malibu. Malibu has the beach, nature as well as restaurants. It’s so beautiful there I love it. I would also Studio city has some fun shops and a cute farmers market. I would definitely suggesting coming the first Sunday of the month and going to the Rose bowl flea market. I’ve been really enjoying going to estate sales in LA. Echo park as a great night life as well!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to thank all the clients, brands & productions for trusting me. I am beyond grateful for all the artists and friends that referred me for jobs. I am also so thankful for the makeup artists that trust me to assist them. Assisting as taught me so much and I am forever grateful for the opportunities that it brings me. I want to thank my family, friends and colleagues for supporting me on my journey.
