Meet Gica Pucca | Actress and Film Director

We had the good fortune of connecting with Gica Pucca and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Gica, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
When I started thinking about my career as an actress, I knew I wanted to connect with the people around me and make myself remarkable. It was a mix of strategy, passion, and adaptability. In this industry, you are both the product and the business, which means branding, networking, and skill-building are just as important as the craft itself.
Creating a website was a great way to share my projects and organize my portfolio. The first step was establishing my identity—understanding what kind of work I wanted to be known for. That guided me into curating my headshots, video reels and resume to align with that vision, making it easier for casting directors and collaborators to see my strengths.
It has helped me and so many friends to access my material with ease and transparency of who I am. The industry thrives on relationships, so I made a point to be present at industry events, support fellow artists, and build connections with directors, producers, and other performers. And to share my craft, became as easy as one click and one link.
This is just the beginning. To start a business is to establish a signature in the artistic world. I’m excited to learn even more about growing your business and how to deliver content with originality and quality.
I proudly announce that we have: “Simple Thieves”, “i hear dead people” and “Look Out The Window” in post-production at the moment. More information shall be updated on my website. For anyone out there who wants to get to know more about what I do here is the link to it: www.gicapucca.com

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Surely I’m not the only actor who turned into directing in this life, but I must say that that is what makes me different from most people I know.
After I graduated, I started a job a as Theater Director for kids while I acted as an actress on the side. After a year and a half, I achieved a total of 24 titles combined in front, behind the camera, on stage and off stage, as an actress and director in the Hollywood scene.
To understand how to direct kiddos, made me a better professional for this industry.
It’s the biggest challenge I could’ve ever faced. Kids don’t sit still and, I guarantee, they have more creative juice than many professional actors I encountered in 9 years of career.
“Werewolf” was my first original play, written and directed to foster a world where 4th and 5th graders could explore their talents as performers and play in front of their parents, showing that hard work and fun can get along just fine.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The first place would be Medieval Times. I love the entire experience provided and the child inside of me is the happiest whenever I come and visit this banquet. The Getty and The Huntington Garden are extraordinary art galleries, filled with greenery and exquisite architecture, that capture the eyes of many art admires around the world.
Venice and Santa Monica are a must when coming to LA. Dockweiler is a perfect place if you are looking for a night activity where you can light up a bonfire at the beach.
But I must say, if my friend is looking for good music and a nice bar, Ireland 32 has my heart. It’s one of the most vivid Irish pubs I ever walked into.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I wanted to thank Micha J. Adams, Ethan Ingram, Michael Prieto, Nathan Cayanan and Trenton Gromm for being the dream crew for many titles I participated in as an actress and director.
A special thanks to my actor friends Avik Pandey who recently survived the wildfires with me and Kapeesh Mourya, who is always up to help and who made this interview possible.
