Meet Gita Rash | Author, Artist, Actor and Metaphysical Teachel

We had the good fortune of connecting with Gita Rash and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Gita, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
Persistence, discipline and focus I would say are the main building blocks of my success. In any kind of work, be it business, creative arts or any other field, one is bound to hit a brick wall from time to time. It is very easy to give up and walk away. Having the determination to stay the course and persistently work through the hardship takes courage and patience. I have had my shares of pitfalls but I always visualize the end goal which is what keeps me going. I follow a regular spiritual practice that keeps me grounded and balanced, which helps to navigate the highs and lows one faces in life.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As the author of three publications, the latest being “Dream Your Reality” I am constantly inspired by people, events and experiences. Becoming a published author is never easy. One has to face a lot more rejections before receiving an acceptance. The percentage of positive responses is very low in the Book publishing business. However, it was my determination to succeed that made my will stronger. I kept trying until I succeeded and learnt a few things along the way. Everyone has some gift or talent to share with the world. One has to go within and understand oneself to discover this talent and then find that niche to explore. The world is getting larger and opportunities wider. There is room for everyone to find their spot in the sun. If not in a large way, in a way that makes them feel purposeful and fulfilled. Finding satisfaction in one ‘s contribution and expressing gratitude brings joy. In a nutshell, my brand is about empowering people to find their own path to peace and contentment.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would highly recommend a trip to New York City. Especially at Christmas time, the city that never sleeps is truly magical. There is so much to see, do and imbibe. The splendors of Rockefeller Center, with its gigantic Christmas tree all decorated, the skating rink and the festively decorated streets and stores are a sight to behold. An afternoon could be spent at central park after a delicious breakfast at Russ and Daughter’s cafe. One could take in a Broadway show at night. The next morning we could explore Candy Cottage of Christmas Magic and enjoy the immersive experience or participate in a scavenger hunt. We could then head to Chelsea Market and take a stroll through the wide expanse filled with stores selling a variety of foods and artisanal cheeses etc. and pick an authentically handcrafted lunch. The evening could be spent enjoying the Light Scape at Brooklyn Botanical Garden in Prospect Park. Shopping at Macy’s with its uniquely dressed windows could be tackled the next day. Dining outdoors could be the next venture in a private heated igloo admiring the lighted skyscrapers. For a cultural experience we could hit the plethora of museums which would occupy most of the day. A visit to Little Italy would be next on the agenda. Whether one longs for authentic pizza, pasta or seafood, there are many options for a good meal. We could savor an espresso and cannoli at Caffe Roma with its old world charm. of course we wouldn’t skip the Gellato. In the evening we can hop aboard the City Lights Schooner to gaze at the Manhattan Skyline at night. To experience a bit of Miami meets France in New York City, we can cap off our week with an indulgent cocktail at McGinley & Co. an homage to Art Deco style.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My students, peers, and family have a big part to play in my success. My students for motivating and encouraging me while I teach. The constant support and unconditional love from my family through all the ups and downs have seen me through hard times and cheered me on with my successes.
