Meet Giulio Maria Stifani | Brand Designer / Motion Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Giulio Maria Stifani and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Giulio Maria, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My desire to be a Designer was born when I was 10-12 years old because I made the “collection” of business cards of the places I visited or people who met my parents. My father especially always asked his customers to please give 2 business cards, one for him and one for me.
I was fascinated by the shape of the letters, the colors, the different types of paper and the processes that were on the paper. Yes I know, it’s psychopathic 🙂

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The thing I’m most proud of is knowing that every day when I wake up I can freely do my job which is my passion, my life, my way of being. It was by no means easy to achieve this goal. Today, after almost 11 years of work, I don’t feel at all at the top of my knowledge because I learn new things every day. What has always given me the charge has been the continuous search to improve myself both professionally and humanly and this work has given me the opportunity to do it, day after day.
I had to put up with team leaders that were not good at all, people from the various teams I collaborated with who were not good, customers who made me hate my job at times, but despite this, I managed to overcome everything, always looking at who is better than me. and always trying to offer the best possible product in my abilities.
My job is the Designer and I have been doing this for as long as I can remember and I will do this (I hope) until the last day of my life.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am Italian, indeed, Neapolitan. This means that if a friend of mine were in town I would take him to eat an excellent pizza and drink a good coffee, so as to immerse himself in the warmth of my city and my fellow citizens.
What if I had to recommend a beautiful place in Naples?
Hmmm … everything?

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I thank the guys with whom I collaborate every day and who give me the charge every day to continue this work always at its best: Brand Salad Studio.
