We had the good fortune of connecting with Godwin Ameh and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Godwin, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
My interest in Music started at a very early age . I remember back in the early 2000s when I followed my big sister to church and to musical events . As a child when I watch the adults sing and make music , I found it fascinating ,I will often learn the song or it tune and mime it for weeks ( lol). What gave me the greatest pleasure as a child was following my big sister to musical events and rehearsals. While other kids love to run around or play football I just loved music .
As a teenager I join a church choir and from there on I knew I would love to do this “music thing” all my life . I saw and received music as a spiritual dealing. it wasn’t just about the sound or music anymore, it was now about what the music did to me and other listeners , at some point as a teenager I found out that while I sang , people cried, some others just see the need to be vulnerable while the music played .
At some point I saw my self dreaming about singing to a lot of people and those dreams lingered for a while . It was as if God was speaking to me about my music and spiritual journey He wanted me to take it seriously and so I did (lol).

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I love to see my music as a (spiritual)weapon , to heal the souls and rejuvenate man’s connection with God.
My musical journey as an artist is a quite recent one (lol) I had my first musical concert a short while ago (Themed :LOVE AND LIGHT CONVERSATIONS) after which I released my debut single (Never leave me NLM) across all musical platforms.

The journey is not easy. I have had to learn, unlearn and relearn alot .There is this constant need to remain fresh and stay creative (I love it 😊). The major challenge for me has been sourcing for fund and getting my music out there (making great music can be quite expensive 😆).But to curb this challenge, I got a job pending when I get a record deal .my remuneration from my Job is what I use to sponsor my music for now.
It is not alot but for now it helps it in it own little way.

I want the world to know that great music will be coming their way and it will be spiritual and healing ..

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

I stay in Abuja Nigeria and the night life over here is lit 🔥..
For a one week trip
I will take my friend Jabilake mall on Monday , the lake is a sight I want the to see especially when it is not crowded 😊.. we will also visit Istanbul cafe and have some Turkish cuisine.

On Tuesday day we will visit Wonder land and relive our childhood memories .. some ice cream

On Wednesday we will go see the movie and in the evening we are going to Bible study

On Thursday we will visit my producers and make some music (lol I am pretty sure my best friend can sing )
On Friday we will hangout with some visit really exciting restaurant and have Jollof rice (with lot of meat 😆)

On Saturday (I have to rehearse with my team and choir )so off to making more music we go after which we head of to prayer meeting by the evening

On Sunday, we will go to church after which we will visit the Glory dome and it garden for a short picnic ..
