We had the good fortune of connecting with Grace Tuzon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Grace, how do you think about risk?
Risk taking is a huge part of my career as an actress, content creator, and entrepreneur. Everyday I’m faced with risks, whether they’re auditioning for different roles that force me to step out of my comfort zone, accepting or rejecting jobs for brands, or making risky choices to grow a business. I believe the risks I take pushes me to go beyond my boundaries in order to grow and reach new heights in everything I do.

I’m also aware that taking risks do not always end in success. It doesn’t always pan out the way I imagined it to be. But there’s always a lesson to learn through the little bumps on the road to give me a better understanding on how to move forward.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I am an actress, content creator, and entrepreneur. While acting is my main focus, my creativity and business has helped my growing opportunities. Planting my feet in different creative industries has set me apart. Doing content for an ad agency has led me to book commercials through the same company, and having a lash and brow business allows me to connect with clientele in the entertainment industry. My diverse and adaptable skills have set me apart from others and is what I’m most proud of.

Where I am today was not an easy path. I started out in the entertainment industry years ago when opportunities were scarce for a Filipino-American like me. There was not a lot of diverse Asian representation in entertainment and on social media platforms. But now, the industry has welcomed more types of ethnicities, including Filipinos. Most of my auditions now are perfectly casted for me. I see the same changes happening on social media, where diversity continues to grow. It has opened different industries to new perspectives and opportunities.

As time continues, I’ve learned to always be versatile and open to change. Being creative is not a straightforward or a one-way path. For me, being creative will always be a passion and a continuous lifestyle.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would bring them to Malibu, hands down! We would explore Malibu beach, which is extremely gorgeous with beautiful hikes and views. We would have brunch at Malibu Farms, which has a stunning cafe on the pier. After, I would take them to a beautiful outdoor cafe called Malibu Cafe at Calamigos Ranch. Not only does it have great food and drinks, it also has so many fun activities to do. For dinner, I would take them to the notorious and upscale restaurant Nobu Malibu, with its stunning view of the ocean. Then, if we feel like painting the town red, I would take them to the Little Beach House Malibu for its drinks and undeniable vibes. No matter where you go in Malibu, you will always have a great time with great views that will never disappoint.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate my success and where I am today to my family, boyfriend, and best friend. They all have given me unwavering love, support, and encouragement. Being in an artistic and creative industry calls for many unpredictable and difficult times, whether they are financial, emotional, or mental turmoils. Through it all, my support system always reminds me of who I am, how far I’ve come, and give me the strength to keep pushing forward.
