We had the good fortune of connecting with Greg Driscoll and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Greg, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Boyriot Photography came out a debilitating need for a creative outlet for myself. I had been working in restaurant after restaurant because that was the “easy” thing to do; not to mention the only thing I felt I could do. Before I knew it, nine whole years had passed by and I was miserable. I wanted to do something I was not only good at, but also proud of. That’s when I decided to pursue photography. There’s nothing I love more than getting that photo that makes someone say “Oh my god, that’s me?” or “I look hot.” I can proudly say that both are said quite frequently.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Boyriot Photography is all about capturing each persons true essence. I truly believe that photography is a very intimate dance between a client and the photographer. When done correctly, these photos can live on forever. As an artist myself, I understand how intimidating it can be to have hot lights, a big ol’ camera in your face, and a clock ticking away as the pressure for the “perfect” photo rises. My goal is to make every client feel at ease and confident as soon as you step through the door. After all, confidence makes beauty, which then makes beautiful pictures. This is why I believe everyone is photogenic.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Ooohh! I would definitely take them to all of the LA go to’s such as Hollywood Walk of Fame, Runyon Canyon, and one of my favorite things to do is rent bikes at Shutters in Santa Monica and ride from there to Venice and back. We’d def have to catch a show at one of the many iconic music venues like the Viper room, Whisky, or The Troubador. I’m also obsessed with rollercoasters and theme parks so we’d definitely end up at Six Flags.

Some of my personal favorite restaurants are Casita Del Campo in Silverlake, Rock n Reillys on the Sunset Strip, and Tacos Tu Madre in West Hollywood.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Honestly, every single one of my clients deserve the recommendation! Especially this early, to have as many people get in front of the lens as I have, is truly an honor.
