We had the good fortune of connecting with Griffin Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Griffin, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The idea was to create a merchandising business and it takes time. I have been in the bar business for 23 years , I wanted to express the spirits in a different way through art and graphic design . The big picture is to be a great brand and bring our style and have it all over the world .

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The whiskey lifestyle started out as a way to be creative on t shirts and quickly moved to other merch. It’s not easy at all starting a brand , it takes lots of time and a lot of mistakes, takes a incredible group effort to bring articles, shows , graphics etc to table . What I have learned is patience and working with creatives who understand the vision .

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them on a tour of bars here in New York and Brooklyn , we start off at Whiskey tavern ( China town ) and end up at Whiskey Brooklyn in Brooklyn for some pickle backs . Walk around Brooklyn , head over to Dolly’s for some more cocktails then get the best Italian “ antica pesa “ for dinner. Then maybe a night cap at diamond lil in Greenpoint Brooklyn .

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shot out to! Pope Phoenix , Cameron Moore , George Rutulo , Rashaun Hall , Duane Merchant.
