Hi Haze, what do you attribute your success to?
My spiritual relationship with Jesus Christ is what I believe to be the most important factor behind my successes. Behind the success of my brand I would say consistency & persistence both play a major role in the success of my brand. Not only in my brand but my life success as well.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Most people will say that my smile & the joy that I have when playing my instrument sets me apart from others. I personally think it’s just the simple fact of me always being WHO I AM that sets me apart from others. We are all created differently and when you are yourself, that is when you are separate from everyone else. I am most proud of being a husband, father, business owner, my band ATTINSHUN, & most recently becoming the drummer for hip hop legend Nas. Faith, persistence, consistency, inspiration, drive, focus, & my chameleon-like attitude are traits that I have obtained over the years of becoming a professional. One of my main influences goes by the name Yung Wurld. He once told me a while ago that it’s about being a chameleon meaning that you have to adapt to the change and whatever each opportunity presents. And ever since then, that’s been my mentality. I’ll be honest, overall.. it hasn’t been the most difficult ride to where I am today. BUT I will say… there has been a lot of down moments. Moments where I felt like I wasn’t progressing, like my career was stuck, moments where I didn’t know when my next gig will be. But through the traits that I talked about earlier, I’ve made it to the next steps of my career each and every time. I will say…. the good in my career has 100% outweighed the bad moments. Success feels much better when you’ve been through things and took risks in order to make it happen!!!! Your wins last much longer than your “losses” if that’s what you will consider them as. I’ll leave you with my outlook on “loss” … THERE IS ALWAYS A LESSON THAT WILL RESULT FROM A “loss” … FIND IT AND APPLY IT AS YOU PUSH FORWARD!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Let me start off by saying.. I am a homebody LOL! but if I had to….

Monday-Friday will start with bowling!!!
Then head to Cracker Barrel to get some of my favorite pancakes
Head home to play xbox
Order from Kennys Kale … go pick it up
Back to the house to play more xbox
Then to a rehearsal with me (if I have one)
Pick up some food after that
Then we will play drums until about 1am haha!

Sundays you’re coming to church with me, then we’re watching football ALL DAY!!
Monday nights are reserved for watching Monday Night Football
Thursday nights are reserved for watching Thursday Night football

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Firstly, none of this is possible without Jesus Christ. The continuous love and support from my family is second most important. The constant push from my closest friends in the “20 Piece Freeq” chat haha! Many drummers past & present always give me more inspiration. Thanks to the companies I endorse, they ALWAYS keep me covered Sabian cymbals, Vater drumsticks, Clear Tune Monitors, Cympad, & KAW Snare Drums.
