We had the good fortune of connecting with Henri Chelhot and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Henri, what do you attribute your success to?
The driving force behind our success at FlightHub has been our relentless focus on progress, both technological and human. Personally, I’ve always leaned into a strong work ethic rooted in continuous improvement. But beyond that, it’s been about building a team and a culture that thrives on adaptability and customer-centric thinking.

In an industry as fast-paced and unpredictable as travel, we’ve had to constantly evolve, whether that’s integrating AI to streamline service or quickly responding to global events like the pandemic. We’ve learned that success isn’t about avoiding turbulence; it’s about having the mindset and systems to navigate through it, always with the customer at the center.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
FlightHub is an online travel agency that’s dedicated to making travel more accessible and affordable for all. We focus on simplifying the booking experience while keeping costs competitive, and that comes down to how we build our tech and how we support our customers.

We’ve put a lot of work into creating tools that give travelers more control and transparency. Our My Trips portal, for example, allows customers to manage their plans in real time and centralizes add-on services (including everything from currency exchange, to eSIMs, to baby gear rental, and more), and our customer support infrastructure, now supported by generative AI, helps ensure issues get resolved faster and with better context.

The road here hasn’t been linear. The travel industry is operationally complex and full of external pressures, changing regulations, supplier dependencies, seasonality, and unforeseen global events like the pandemic. That period in particular tested FlightHub’s capacity across the board. We had to rebuild systems, scale support, and maintain service levels under unprecedented conditions. What got us through was the team’s ability to stay focused, pivot where needed, and keep execution tight.

There’s still plenty of work to do. But if there’s one thing I’d want people to take away, it’s that FlightHub is built by people who take pride in doing the hard things well. We’re focused on building long-term value for our customers, and that requires constantly improving how we operate, without ever losing sight of the traveler’s experience.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to the hardworking FlightHub team, whose shared ambition to simplify travel and enhance customer experiences to meet that high standard. The work they do every day, often behind the scenes, is what drives the company forward. Their attention to detail, their willingness to challenge how we do things, and their ownership over the customer experience have shaped both the product and the culture.

I also want to recognize our customers. They push us to be better. Whether it’s through feedback, service requests, or how they interact with our platform, they show us where we’re meeting expectations and where we’re falling short. That input informs our product roadmap, guides how we train our support teams, and keeps us aligned with what actually matters in the day-to-day travel experience.
