Meet Hervens JeanBaptiste | Taste Maker & Consultant

We had the good fortune of connecting with Hervens JeanBaptiste and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Hervens, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success & the success of my brand is understanding my play , purpose & potential. When it comes to knowing yourself ( strengths + opportunities ) , you have to use your God given gifts to your advantage & add value everywhere you go. My vast experiences have helped shape my knowledge & have aided me in becoming an asset to the different companies and projects I’ve been able to contribute to.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m an accomplished and dedicated curator with a decade of expertise in the realm of high-end fashion merchandising, street-wear, and lifestyle. I was born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti and I currently live in Boston, MA.
What sets me apart? My level of relatability. One of my favorite things in life is being able to bond at a deeper level with people through common experiences & likings. In order to genuinely connect with people, you have to be a versatile individual! Which I take pride in.
My experience resides in professional image consulting, wardrobe curation and coordination, organizational procedure and rules of services, personal brand development, and trend awareness. Further knowledge and expertise lies in public relations, data analysis, marketing, and project management.
My consultancy platform is called Successismycologne, an agency that focuses on bringing visions to life & helping people become their best self. My exposure to complex projects has aided me in becoming an asset to the different companies I’ve been able to contribute to. I’ve been able to leverage my fluency in several languages to better and genuinely connect with a wide audience in an effort to distill exactly what it is people wish to see come to fruition in their stylistic journey.
My main mission is to help people become their best self by sitting down & highlighting different techniques, best practices & articles of clothing that will amplify one’s self esteem , habits or look.
One lesson that has stuck with me is to never let feeling like I’m not “good enough” keep me from getting started. For a long time I hesitated when it came to letting the world know about my talents, since I’ve changed this a lot of opportunity has come my way, I am truly thankful.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting you in Boston and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
A dope, spontaneous week would include ZAZ, a Black Owned restaurant owned by Chef Olrie. Zaz food is a mix of Caribbean, Latin and Asian fusion foods. The drinks are amazing, especially the Mango Passionfruit mimosa Pitchers.
Next I’d do some shopping at LAATIENDAA in Malden, an amazing sneaker & clothing boutique.
Then we’d visit TUTULAND, and do some painting KAWS statues and creating our own rugs.
We’d close off the week then by hitting SILK, and R&B all night event hosted by my guy DJ Real P.
To close off the week we’d hit a Celtics game to watch my C’s go crazy!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Honestly I want to shoutout to my friends for all their support, both creatively & physically. Always motivating me to think “Bigger” . Shoutout to my LaaTiendaa team, my clients who always give inspiration and make everything worth it, especially Chef Chianti! A client who has become more family than anything & mentions me in rooms of opportunity. Another major shoutout to my cousins Cliff & V, older brothers I never had.
