We had the good fortune of connecting with Hila Plitmann and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hila, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
One of the most beautiful things I’ve learned to foster through this creative journey is an internal quality of consistent patience, with myself and with the world. And the main insight for me throughout the years has been that when I arrive from a place of wishing to bring joy and uplift to other, then I in turn am filled with gratitude

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My artistic journey is morphing, expanding. I’ve had the privilege of a truly fun and thrilling career as a classical singer, performer and recording artists. Even a GRAMMY that came unexpectedly. I love and adore the work. But I’ve also am beginning to explore new paths that relate to education and healing people with whatever I can offer.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live in Santa Monica, so I’d drag them to my SoulCycle class, ha! and then go for chocolate croissants and a pour over at Demitasse coffee on 3rd. A hike at Solstice Canyon in Malibu, to take up a good part of a day and another one up Paseo Miramar to watch the sun set beautifully over the Pacific. A barefoot walk on the beach is a must, and maybe a drink at Shutters I’m a big pastry and sweets lover, so perhaps on different mornings we’d go have donuts at Sidecar donuts and a ‘Pan de Muerto’ at La Monarca bakery. Yum… The Getty Villa is just up the coast on Ocean Ave. and is a jewel to visit. Santa Monica Dinner could be great at Forma, Rustic Canyon & Fritto Misto. We’d probably also head over to Pasadena, see the Norton Simon museum, which is my very favorite, and stroll the Huntington Gardens, maybe even stay for high tea.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My heart is full of gratitude to so many in my life who have shared their wisdom and talent with me, and have shown me such kindness and grace. The list is titanic…for this article a special shoutout to my spirit sisters Danaë Vlasse, Sangeeta Kaur & Rina Welles, who have been guiding me on a path of beauty and awakening.
