We had the good fortune of connecting with Holly Crawford and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Holly, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Work, Life, Balance is always a tricky one to navigate. Before becoming a mom of four I was in the financial industry. As a bank manager I had long work hours and when my oldest kids were young, they were in daycare for many hours a day. When the twins arrived, we knew we had to make a change. Things that people don’t talk about often enough is how much sacrifice it is to be a full-time homemaker. One spouse now has the entire financial burden, and the one staying home is now a full-time homemaker. For me it was a hard transition, I had to learn how to be home and not in the business world. I am beyond blessed to stay home and be here for our family and wouldn’t change a single thing, but it was definitely a learning curve.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
As a stay at home mom and small business owner I wear many hats. As someone who loves to always be on the go and finding a new adventures 2020 was a difficult year all around. I joined a Disney Podcast at the end of 2019 and during the Pandemic it was really a great creative outlet. When everything reopened and the theme parks were back in business dressing up to go to Disneyland was now a big deal and it was fun showing creative outfits. Some of the jewelry that was accessible wasn’t affordable to everyone and we all wanted a variety. I thought how can we get cute, inspired jewelry for everyone to enjoy, that is how MarvelousOnMainStreet was born. Simultaneously I also jumped into Content Creation full time on Instagram. Our family was always on the go and it was so fun to share our adventures. As a family of 6 budget plays a large role so I love to be able to share with others how we are able to do what we do and not break the bank.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are so many amazing places to visit in Southern California and while LA has it quirks, I love to visit because of all the variety of places to visit. We would definitely do a Stars Home Tour because it is such a tourist thing to do and a fun way to see the city in an open-air vehicle. Next, we will head to The Grove for a little window shopping, an Aperol spritz at the Fountain Bar and of course we will sample some fantastic foods at the World Famous Farmer’s Market. After we had our fill, we are off to catch a show at The Pantages. A little stroll down the Hollywood Walk of Fame then off to dinner at whatever new trendy restaurant LA has to offer.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am extremely lucky to have a very supportive circle. My friends are my family, even my kids support all of my crazy ideas. A huge heartfelt shoutout to my incredible husband for being my rock in every venture and adventure. Your unwavering supports means the world and your love and dedication as a husband and a father. I am grateful to have you by my side.
