We had the good fortune of connecting with Holly Davidson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Holly, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk taking is the allowing to unfold. Not everything in life is calculated. Sometimes the best things in life are when your plans are altered. It’s amazing to me just how often people want to control situations. We must remember when we came into this world we didn’t give orders as we were being create we were just being. So in life we must have faith that we are always on the right track. We must know that the right people, opportunities and situations will come into play when you let go and be.

The key is to be okay with the in between, the speed, the flow of things. Success is the joy of the ride not the final destination because we will never be done.

No one has it all down. You learn from experience, taking chances, you gain knowledge in the art of doing. As an entrepreneur there is never a right time. Don’t wait to build your business start it now. Have faith and just go with it. Sure you will make mistakes but those mistakes will be a lesson that you will use to catapult you to new heights. When you know what not to do, you have a better understanding of what to do and what works.

If I didn’t take Risks I wouldn’t be where I am today with partners across the globe working with some of the largest fortune fifty companies in the world and repping some of the top artist, athletes and studios execs on the planet. Have faith and go for it.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Realize that all people had to fall multiple times before being where they are today. I lost a business, had cancer and at the same time my husband left me. However I am so grateful for that time in my life because it led me to where I am today. People think oh well she has alimony, child support for her four kids and that is absolutely not true. I knew that everything I needed was inside of me. I remember allowing myself to cry in the shower for ten minutes at a time because I didn’t know if I was going to be alive for my kids. However after those ten minutes were up I wouldn’t allow myself any more tears. I rose to the occasion fought the insurance company took care of the four kids and ran my business I was putting together. So many people are looking for someone to rescue them… My advice is to look in the mirror because that is your Prince Charming. It’s you that you need to depend on.

Thank god for that time. It made me the entrepreneur I am today. I remember telling myself if I’m going to feel like shit I am going to look good doing it. I remember saying to myself hurricanes come to pass, but never to stay. I remember chasing good time and memories. Falling in love with life. When you change the way you look at things the things you look at change. Perception is everything.

If you want to be happy, study happiness. If you want to be wealthy study wealth. Tune into things that make you feel good, watch videos, create vision boards. They say that one person in alignment can do more than a hundred people in action and I really believe it. Be kind to yourself, celebrate the small wins, laugh at mistakes and stop taking yourself so seriously.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Lots of good food, drinks, shopping, pool, wineries, and being adventurous. Still making time to work out and read thirty minutes a day.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shoutout would have to be to my father Ron. Who I am today is because of the values he instilled in me.

Knowing myself, being myself and living my truth. If we stopped caring who we made upset and/or what others think about us we would live life authentically.

Saying no is a strength. Be selective with who you spend time with, how you spend your time. It’s okay to be selfish. It is okay to be different. Your difference is what makes the world a better place. Just be who you were created to be and stop trying to copy other people. The minute we tune into our selves and our own strength is when we really start living. Seeking approval ir validation is exhausting so f*** it. Be you, do you, cause no one else can do it better.
