We had the good fortune of connecting with Ian Asbury and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ian, what matters most to you?
Being attentive is by far one of the best values someone can possess! Paying close attention, showing care for the needs & desires of others. Nailing this, you should be able to nail other aspects in your life.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
That moment I finished Omnivore’s Dilemma, that feeling was immense and what makes us human, is feelings! So this is what drives me forward is recreating those special feelings – something changes you moving forward.

I am where I am today is a combination of being a generalist and a firefighter – constantly pivoting while creatively solving problems. Would be very difficult to be a founder without those being the top two.

Easy! Bah! Not even close. You have to have an extreme stomach – losing is more common than winning so you have to go over and beyond in practice which no one gets to see. The work required is immense and not for most. But it’s exciting, I love it!

The name itself, Good Clean Fun says exactly what we want the world to know 🙂

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Like most big cities, there are plethora of places to eat & drink and etc. But one thing that I believe separates us from most of the world is the comedy clubs. Most of the comedians are in LA and they come to practice their material. That’s an absolute must when you come to LA!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
This is going to sound a little lame but it is pretty impossible to nail this down because everyday, we are soaking up experiences that help contribute to our outcomes the next days, weeks, months, etc. But! – one thing has changed my path and that was the book Ominovores Dilemma by Michael Pollan. Prior to reading this book, had absolutely no idea about where food came from. After reading, i made it a mission to help preserve the right ways of agriculture! Which we can see reflected in GCF | Good Clean Fun.
