Meet Ian Brody Hutzler | Realtor, Actor, Father, Husband.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ian Brody Hutzler and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ian Brody, as a parent, what do you feel is the most meaningful thing you’ve done for them?
I think helping my daughter be thoughtful, kind, and self-assured will ultimately bring her success in her life. Fortunately, her mother and I have both been able to be home since her birth. Able to talk with her and help her through any rough spots…in theory. 🙂

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Well, I’d say my acting career has been amazing and difficult and awful and everything else one could imagine. I worked hard and gained some real success. It’s a tough road, especially these days with a lot of changes in the way the unions and system work.
I was able to carve out my success by being genuine and “down to Earth”, I suppose. I have always said that I was too “normal” for the business, LOL!
I moved quite a bit as a child and credit that in helping me do well as an actor. I was always trying to fit in and watched people intently to see how I could do that.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take a trip to Old Town Pasadena for sure. Some amazing food there and on the way to and from there. Fun city with plenty to do. Hiking, eating, shopping, etc… Next would be the beach, of course! Anywhere from Laguna Beach to Malibu.
Santa Barbara to relax, San Diego to party.
Maybe the mountains after that. Local, like Lake Arrowhead.
I’d do a bit of everything. Hiking, biking, eating, drinking, relaxing…
Some of my family’s favorite food and shopping amongst a great atmosphere!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
That’s a great question. I’ll keep it short.

I’d give a big shoutout to Vincent Chase, my first acting coach/teacher. He believed in me even when I didn’t. He helped me along the way introducing me to my first agent. A big influence on me and my acting career.

Another shoutout would be to my current Real Estate office manager. One of the best people I know. He’s another one who has believed in me and has done everything possible to help me and keep me where I am.
