Meet Iesha Daniels | DJ

We had the good fortune of connecting with Iesha Daniels and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Iesha, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success is the support of my community of family, friends and professional network. It is because of them that my name has been mentioned in so many rooms for opportunities. I am very grateful for my village.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a DJ, currently DJing on-air at Real 92.3 (iHeart Radio, Los Angeles). I personally love to play all kinds of music and ‘dig in the crates’ to play songs that people haven’t heard in a while or never heard before.
A lot of discipline, hard work and humility got me here. It was not easy but I had determination and I am so glad that I persevered to make my dreams come true. I’ve learned that perception and optimism is very important–knowing that the glass is half full, rather than half empty.
I want the world to know that I deeply care about being an inspiration to others to chase their dreams. I want the world to know what I made something out of nothing and this is just the beginning!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Hmmmm… I’m much of a homebody these days, but definitely taking them to the beach–Santa Monica or Marina Del Rey, depending on the vibe they wanted. I’d take them to a few of the hot parties that my peers are spinning at. We’d go to EP/LP for a good rooftop vibe. For food we’d hit Cara Cara restaurant in DTLA, Catch Steak, Harold & Belle’s, Earle’s on Crenshaw, Chao Krung Thai, Tao and Katana. We’d do a little hike to the hollywood sign. Go to Century City Mall for some shopping, get a view of the city from Mulholland Drive, catch a Lakers or a Rams game, go to a concert and go to Disneyland.
Whew, that’s a busy week! 🙂

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family! My parents and my 4 siblings. I love them dearly.
