We had the good fortune of connecting with Isaiah Lane ZAELANE and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Isaiah Lane, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The meaning behind it and reasoning for it are two of the most important parts of any creation. They are even sometimes, the hardest to put into words. Frequently, many try everything they can to decipher the code in their head that unlocks all the context of their creations. Searching for anything that gives purpose to what is that of a feeling, a thought, a message, or an event relayed through any form of art. Yes, meaning and reasoning are two of the most complicated concepts to exist. However, with individualistic time, comes experiences in life that reveal new knowledge that may give a person the ability to be the only one to understand it. And with my creation, my artistry, I believe I have discovered the knowledge to the meaning, reasoning, and overall purpose of my brand, Zaelane. There is a part of my intuition that gave foresight to why I needed to begin this brand. Visions of foreshadowing that showed me the impact this would have on the world. I used to disregard the idea of destiny for myself. But with these feelings, I believe I am destined to find prosperity in the architecture of wearable design. And right along with destiny, is the accomplishment of success, that has been twisted into the idea that wealth and fame determine a person’s triumph. When in reality, the most powerful success stories come from those who did find true happiness, who learned how to love everyone, even those who were against them, and those who worked consistently to understand the true meaning and reasoning of life. I aspire to bring a positive change to the world in every corner of art culture. In my heart, I feel the desire to make everyone feel loved, because I design uniquely, just like how God did with every single one of us. I want to be the next groundbreaker in fashion that repaves it better than how it was before, and that comes with not following all the rules of fashion criteria. I believe that my name, will be remembered just as well and just as long as the icons that came before me. And I believe… I hope, that my name will be an inspiration to those icons who will come after me.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
A lot of the time, I would find myself questioning my abilities to be an artist. And those negative feeling all feed from past judgement and discrimination towards the way I thought, dressed, and looked. Many can relate when I say that, it’s not always easy to love what your mind creates. But over time, I have found a sort of peace and affection to the ideas that I once despised. One of the most beautiful experiences I have ever had wasn’t necessarily all positive. The negative side keeps a balance to appreciate the beauty in all the good. I eventually found myself to deeply in love with the positive, that anything not aligned with my path, I could easily accept and move away from. And still to this day, I find myself growing to be a better designer, a better artist, and a better human. I want the world to know that zaelane is more than just a brand, it is living, it has feelings, and it has a mind. I am zaelane.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite place to go it definitely in costa mesa to the shopping centers like The Lab and The Camp. The atmospheres have both a modern and abstract feel, creating a space that I love to either sit and work or hang with friends to do some shopping and eating.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
without the creators of the creator, there would be nothing to create. And without my parents, there would be no zaelane. Everyday, I think deeply about the incredible possibilities of my life, and the circumstances that were perfectly aligned for my existence. although I am seen as the mastermind to my brand, there is no doubt that many of my decisions of work, are shown to me from my parents. Who I in fact get my artistic and imaginative abilities from. My parents have a brilliant history of artistry. From modeling, designing, painting, building, and most of all loving. The parents of zaelane, are the foundation of a constantly growing skyscraper.
