We had the good fortune of connecting with Ismael Murillo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ismael, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
I have fused my dance fundamentals to enhance my Folklorico and professional dance journey. I believe that cultural dance plays a significant role in preserving and celebrating Mexico and the rich heritage of any country. Moreover, such a movement keeps gaining international recognition and popularity; and thus is bringing communities together specially in California.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The number one factor for achieving success in my thirty year long dance career has been knowledge and wisdom. In the beginning, I had the passion for the arts, especially dance. However, I knew I had to push myself to learn the very basics of dance technique. Even to this day, I am always open to keep Learning something new, as a result I have built up my brand tremendously and have updated my craft everyday.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would choose the historical landmarks in town, and those which feature the arts somehow someway.
As far as places to eat, I will take the small places as they offer the best home cooking dishes.
And for fun, something that has to do with nature. For example, hiking, Beach walk, picknick etc
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
