Meet Jack Spensley | Rapper

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jack Spensley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jack, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
ever since i was a kid i used things like legos, or drawing to destress myself. as i got older and started growing out of those things, it was like 2016 and i found out who lil peep was and i instantly wanted to be a rockstar. i started recording music a few years later and started using it as a get away, or a way to talk about things i can’t really just bring up in a normal conversation. music is a very good way to communicate things, and i think it’s just who i am.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
what sets me apart from others is that i just want to make genuine, real music. i don’t care much for the money, even though it helps, i just care about the feeling i can create through music.

i got to where i am today by just making music in the moment. i never write my lyrics, always freestyle and go off of what I’m feeling. people ask me all the time, “can you help me” or “can you teach me to make music” and i always say just make the music. if you want it, you’ll get it.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
if i were taking someone to atlanta, id probably take them to Little Five Points and go shopping.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Roman6ixv3 plays a big role in my career/personal life. we met back in early 2022, i think on new years actually. he hit me up and invited me to a show he was doing for his birthday, we made a song and linked up in atlanta. been best friends since then and just been working hard, sharing the same goals.
