Meet jackson Wong | photograher, coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with jackson Wong and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi jackson, what makes you happy? Why?
What makes me happy, is when people around me, whether near or far are happy. Whatever little i could do, can make someone happy, i will try to do that. It could be getting a person a quick lunch, to helping someone to cross the street. Sometimes, the little things can cause happiness. An example that happened to me, was when i was in college, I was working as a security guard, At the end of the shift, there was a toddler with no one around, the toddler can not talk, i brought her to where we checked out, and the mom was crying running to get her, she did not even know who found her child. She was over joy to have her baby back, and i was happy to be the one who caused that to happened.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I worked in the classroom, teaching science, and working with students has taught me how to interact with others, Bring a professional does not mean we take yourself too seriously. As a photographer, a rapport needs to be establish almost immediately with the client. I am happy that this is happening to me, Once the client and I get along, the rest becomes an enjoyable time. Since i am naturally an introvert, i have learned to be social, when needs to be.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Since I live within 2.5 hours to the city, the beach and the mountains, this is probably the easiest question to answer. There is a saying, in California, you can go skiing during the day, and then drive to the beach to catch the sunset. Been there, done that. Then of course, in Southern California, there are iconic locations, such as the Disney Concert hall, Rodeo Drive and the tours of the movie studio. A week is about right to get a taste of SoCal.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Thank you to Cat Ce, (Catherine Chen) who recommended me. She is a comedian and Model, whom I met back in 2019. Another person, i like to recognize is the Fashion Designer Will Franco, who granted the pleasure of photographing his many dresses. And lastly, our little fraternity of photographers, who support one another.
