Meet Jacob Delgado | Makeup artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jacob Delgado and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jacob, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
The end goal for me is to have my own makeup brand as well as fashion brand I love the beauty world as well as the fashion world.I spend my free time creating looks on myself as well as my friends and uploading to social media. The fashion part really makes the whole idea of my makeup look come to life as well makeup has always been my life since I was in high school and having my own makeup brand would be such an accomplishment as well as starting some sort of fashion/clothing brand.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is an expression of who I am when I am working with any client and the feeling of when I’m done doing there makeup and when they feel good makes me feel so happy. I have learned so many lessons but one that’s stuck out to me is to always have fun with makeup my mom told me this and it really just stuck because I get in little create funks and it really just makes me sad when my creativity falls short so no matter I’ll create just to have fun not to impress anyone not look a certain way but just to let myself show with my art.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
West Hollywood that’s the place I would pic I feel like there are so many fun spots around there and it’s a safe place where I can be with my friends grabbing lunch at the Abby. Going for bottomless mimosas for drag brunch At hamburger Mary’s with my friends it’s just where I want to be.The lgbtq community has always been a place where I can truly just relax and be myself
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My grandparents have always been my number one supporters they have watched me grow with my makeup skills and have alls shared how much talent they think I have to there friends and other family members. They have believed in me even when I wanted to give up on makeup completely but they encouraged me to keep going and to follow my dreams.
