Meet Jacqueline Pitman | CEO of Pitman Casting Inc and PartyPit Productions Inc. Executive Producer and Casting Director in Reality Television

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jacqueline Pitman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jacqueline, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
Im originally from Matawan, NJ. moved here right after to high school with $127 in my pocket to put myself through school …lolol I was a foster kid from 7 to 18 years old…so huge risk taker though I wasn’t rich and had no possessions to lose…I had my life to lose if I didnt succeed.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I launched Pitman Casting Inc., a full service, reality television casting company in Los Angeles out the the economy crash of 2008 because I could not wait to be hired as a producer by production companies. I needed to take matters into my own hands and do what knew best quickly and that was cast.
So as a Casting Director through my casting company I currently cast CBS’s Kids Say the Darndest Things hosted and executive produced by Tiffany Haddish, Let’s Make a Deal hosted by Wayne Brady, Price is Right with Drew Carey and FOX’s 2021 reboot of America’s Most Wanted.
Under PartyPit Productions arm of my business, I executive produced, created and cast, in partnership with Asylum Entertainment “To Rome for Love” for Bravo Television network. To Rome for Love followed five single, African-American women as they head to Italy to find themselves while searching for love.
Prior to launching my companies, I created and executive MTV NEXT and developed and co-executive produced ABC’s Hit Plastic Surgery show, the original Extreme Makeover while working as the VP of Development for Lighthearted Entertainment.
Starting and owning my own business was never one of my goals, however my survival mode kicked in when things seemed bleak and failure wasn’t an option.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Im all about music festivals and outdoor beach venues.
Up and down the Coast. I went to school at Cal State Long Beach, so Ive grown to appreciate just driving PCH along to ocean and hitting beach side restaurants for cocktails and food. I love Javier’s of Crystal Cove in Newport Beach.
I love hanging at Huntington Beach at Sea Salt or Sea Legs listening to classic rock or reggae.
I love Sunset Restaurant, another beach side restaurant in Malibu, amazing fish tacos.
I love Sage Brush Cantina on a Sunday afternoon because Im a HUGE classic Rock fan and will go anywhere to sit outdoors and listen to a great cover band with a cocktail in hand.
I LOVE the Hollywood Bowl, yet another outdoor venue and I have no qualms doing these activities solo.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The Late Howard Schultz. Former CEO of Lighthearted Entertainment. He passed away 7 years ago but he was extremely instrumental in my career and development of who I am today and what I know about television.
