Meet Jada Malone | Dance Artist, Wellness Activist, Mother

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jada Malone and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jada, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind the success of my professional career as a Dance Artist is having the influence to contribute to the community through my experiences. It’s important to me that I utilize my influence to uplift and educate which is why I’ve dedicated my life to furthering my knowledge and professional experience.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My tenacity and inquisitiveness set me apart from others. I have an uncontrollable thirst for knowledge that allows me to adapt quickly, while my relentless commitment to excellence keeps my curiosity at bay. I am extremely proud of myself for taking the risk and moving to the big city if Los Angeles to professionally pursue performing arts. The road has not been the easiest, but I know in my heart that God wouldn’t challenge me with anything I couldn’t overcome. Navigating through countless rejections, family losses, and financial hardships while chasing my dreams is something I’m sure many of us can relate to. I try to always remember that as humans we are allowed to feel, and perfection is one of life’s greatest lies. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned to overcome adversity is to stay true to who you are regardless of how society makes you feel you should be. Easier said than done, right? Since becoming a mother, i feel my purpose pumping through my veins more than ever before. It came as clarification that I am right where I belong and I’m never where I’m not meant to be.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
A few of my top spots in LA are Griffith Park for hiking, Vegan Exchange for food, and Universal City Walk AMC for a movie on discount Tuesdays! For shopping we definitely need to hit up Black Market Flea and the Glendale Galleria. I love trying new restaurants and exploring new places as well so this list is subject to change without notice.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to dedicate this shoutout to my mentor, teacher, and friend, Sharlene Sabonis. This phenomenal woman is an outstanding role model and her passionate expression motivates everyone she encounters to excel.
