We had the good fortune of connecting with Jade Alexandria and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jade, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
Risk-taking has always been a vital part of both my life and career. I think of risk as something that can either open up new opportunities or teach valuable lessons, regardless of the outcome. My great grandmother used to say, “A try beats a fail,” which always stuck with me. It’s a reminder that the act of trying itself holds value, even if things don’t turn out as expected. In the entertainment industry, this mindset is especially crucial. You have to be your own PR, constantly pushing yourself through doors and into spaces where you might feel like an outsider. The risk of putting yourself out there—whether it’s auditioning for a role, starting a project, or networking with people you admire—can feel intimidating, but it’s the only way to make progress.

I’ve also learned to view rejection differently over time. Rather than seeing it as a failure, I’ve come to embrace it as redirection. It’s not personal—it’s just the universe pointing you in a different direction. Every “no” I’ve received has shaped me and pushed me to refine my goals or pivot in a more meaningful direction. Ultimately, risk has taught me resilience and adaptability, two qualities that have played a significant role in my growth both personally and professionally.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart from others is my authenticity and the confidence I’ve gained in being comfortable in my own skin. Growing up, I struggled with self-doubt and often sought validation from others and society, which made school challenging as I tried to fit in and dealt with bullying. However, looking back, those experiences have shaped me into the person I am today, preparing me for the tough realities of the entertainment industry, where criticism, constant judgment, and societal pressures are commonplace. My success in hosting, modeling, and entertainment has come from truly believing in myself, supported by my parents. I’ve learned not to take advice, opinions, or negativity from people who aren’t living the life I aspire to. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that not everyone has your best interests at heart, so it’s crucial that you do. Don’t wait for anyone to give you an opportunity—create your own.

I want the world to know that I’m just an ordinary girl with a deep desire to contribute to the greater good and help guide the world toward a more positive, open-minded future. Although I’ve faced some very dark times and situations I’m not yet ready to discuss, I want others to know that no matter how hard things get, there is always light at the end of the tunnel. And sometimes, your dreams might be waiting for you right there.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’ll admit, I’m a bit of an old soul and can be kind of boring at times—LOL! My dog is my bestie and basically my whole personality. I’m still pretty new to LA, having only been here for three years, though I’m originally from Sacramento. If you’re looking for a good time, I’d recommend a hike at Runyon Canyon followed by a stop at Roscoe’s—definitely a must! And if you’re in the mood for coffee, Community Goods is a cute, boujee spot that’s always buzzing, and you might even run into Justin Bieber there—haha!

If we’re in the Long Beach area, I’d suggest a beach day at Sunset or Seal. We can cruise around town, hit up Sweet Jill’s, which is my favorite bakery, and then head out to Second Street for a nightcap. It’s a pretty solid way to enjoy the day when sun is out!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My great grandmother played an essential role in shaping my childhood and fueling my creativity. Whether it was dance, singing, writing, music, art, or playing the piano, she was a constant source of influence, helping me bring out the best in these passions. I truly believe I wouldn’t be as passionate about these things today if it weren’t for her. She not only pushed and supported me but did so with a grace that embodied the beautiful spirit she was—my beloved Gammy. I’m also incredibly grateful for my parents, who have been my biggest fans and unwavering supporters through all the ups and downs. I’m blessed to have two living parents who not only encourage me to chase my dreams but also believe in my ability to succeed. I love you, Mom and Dad.
