Meet Jaime Annett | Certified Sound Healing Practitioner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaime Annett and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jaime, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Jaime Annett’s treasured mother, Joanne, is in hospice. Ovarian cancer.
Terminal.
And yet hope – just like the undying love between mother and
daughter – remains.
“During the pandemic, wed lay on the floor together, just like
when I was a little girl,” recalls the owner of Thermal Horizons, the
yoga and wellness center in Valencia. “Wed talk about what chis
place could be, right down to the tiniest detail. Thermal Horizons
is a physical manifestation of the vision we created together as my
mother fought Stage 4 cancer. My inspiration is leaving this earth,
but what we made together will remain – and continue to serve the
community we love.”
Jaime and Joanne built the Thermal Horizons concept on one simple
truth: “People are sick and tired of being sick and tired,” says Jaime.
“And they’re more open to the idea that being well’ doesn’t have to
look the same for everyone. The, ‘Go to the gym, lift all the weights,
take your pre-workout, grr!’ mentality can be limiting. When our
clients discover that they don’t need to kill themselves at the gym
– that there are great benefits to gentle yoga, to therapeutics, to
meditation – it builds a culture of wellness that heals, one person at
a time.”
Ar Thermal Horizons, the healing is hot – literally. FAR InfraRed
Hot Yoga is held at a cozy 105 degrees, but Thermal Horizons guests
don’t leave feeling worn out. “It’s a dry, gentle heat that makes you
feel energized and relaxed. You’ve got the blood flowing, you’re well
oxygenated, you’re ready to have the best day!” Visit their website
at thermalhorizons.com to explore the over-60 weekly classes, 20
teachers and 4,000-square-foot healing spaces.
Hope & Homeostasis
Many of us are in a constant state of fight or flight, awash with stress
hormones that keep us feeling anxious and off center – all while
increasing our risk of illness, weight gain and a reduction in the quality
of our lives. Classes at Thermal Horizons – from sound meditations to
pilates and yoga – are designed to bring your body back to a space of
mindfulness, presence and peace. “We’re always “doing all the things,”
says Jaime, owner and a certified sound healer. “But for the 75 minutes
you’re in one of our classes, you’re in complete balance – homeostasis.
This is where healing – emotional, physical, spiritual – happens.”
Joanne Changed the World for the Better
“If wishes were fishes, what would you do?”
That hypothetical question was the root of a childhood game
Jaime would play with her mom, Joanne – and it was the
perfect prompt for the pair as they created a yoga and healing
community unlike any other in Santa Clarita. At time of print,
Joanne is in hospice and her family is steadying themselves for
the transition to life without her. “I want to use this space to
bring attention to ovarian cancer, which often goes undetected
until it has reached advanced stages,” says Jaime. “I hope that
our experience encourages women who have had estrogen-only
hormone replacement, have used fertility drugs, have a family
history or mutations in the BRCA1/2 genes or have any of the
symptoms, like bloating and back pain, to talk to their doctors.
It’s what my mom would want and it’s one more way she’s
changing the world.”
“Thermal Horizons is a direct manifestation of all the things in my childhood
that were beautiful and wonderful. My mother’s JOYOUS SPIRIT will linger in these halls
and we will continue to honor her and celebrate her legacy in this space.”

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Jaime Annett, Founder of Thermal Horizons, is a force of nature. Her infectious spirit and drive fills any room. She has a special talent for making those she meets feel immediately comfortable and welcomed. Her zest for life has made her successful in all of her endeavors. She is passionate about honoring one’s curiosity, strengthening imagination, and seeking authenticity. She possesses a
firm belief and understanding that real relationships begin from within.
Throughout Jaime’s life she has been physically active and in touch with her Native American roots. As a young girl, her mother encouraged her to explore her heritage taking her to pow wows and
sweat lodges. In addition, she was a gymnast in early adolescence and continued through high school as a semi-professional athlete. Today she is still dedicated to her spiritual ancestry, physical
fitness, and personal health.
Professionally for the past 20 years Jaime has worked as a healthcare business development consultant. She specialized in helping independent dental practices in the fields of marketing and
business development. Despite her professional success she felt unfulfilled knowing she had a greater purpose in life.
Several years ago Jaime sustained a severe lower back injury. She had to undergo two surgeries, and the recovery process was long and difficult. She found that normal means of physical fitness and
physical therapy were unproductive. So, she turned to yoga. Unknowingly this was a pivotal moment in her life and career. The minute she stepped into a hot yoga studio her life changed forever. She
was able to find the flexibility she couldn’t by any other means. Yoga has helped her evolve in many ways; mainly helping to find balance, becoming more focused, and most importantly finding her
inner and physical strength. This has aided her in becoming the successful woman she is today.
By expanding her yoga practice Jaime has found powerful and positive outcomes by exploring deeper awareness through all the modalities of holistic healing. After attending a sound healing
ceremony, she found her purpose. This led her to become a Certified Sound Healing Practitioner giving her the sense of creative fulfillment she had always earned for. She finds areat satisfaction in
providing the community with holistic sound healing offerings to help others revitalize and re-harmonize their mind and body to their natural state of homeostasis.
Currently living and working in the Santa Clarita Valley, she is now looking forward to building her own yoga and wellness center locallv. She will be utilizina her expert business record and channeling
her passion for physical well-beina. Paying tribute to her heritage and Mother led to the conception of Thermal Horizons Yoga and Wellness Center.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would immediately leave the airport and drive directly to Carpenteria with my sound bowls in toe. Stop at Francisco’s Fruit Stand for some organic eats for the road trip.
At sunset we would enjoy eats and partake in a sound healing at dusk with the ocean waves, the salt breeze and seagulls flying overhead.
The rest of the week would consist of all things Sight, touch, sound, community and unity. Perhaps a visit to the Disney music hall, or theatre tickets. We would gorge on oysters and tapas all week long anywhere in Los Angeles where we could enjoy the company of others and create connections.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Ben Benedetti was my driving force. He is a white light warrior that never let my fear override my faith.
If it wasn’t for his love and constant belief that that Thermal Horizons would be a beautiful healing haven for our community to immersive themselves in I wouldn’t have taken this leap of faith.
