We had the good fortune of connecting with Jane Doe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jane, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Because all of us believe we were put on this Earth to be musicians. That this is really our calling and by golly we’re gonna give it our best shot.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We’re a rock band that has an authentic sound woven from the milieu of rock and roll. Jane Doe is a band that doesn’t fit a specific mold, a part of the wave of people who identify with the past but shape the future. Plus, having a woman as our frontperson is not a common occurrence, yet, in rock music specifically. We’re super excited for the upcoming release of our second album in mid-February. We really feel that it shows the growth of the band from a music writing aspect and the uniqueness of our style. We, along with most other musicians and people in general, were hit hard by the pandemic. We’ve learned that hard work and continued connectivity with fans has given us a second shot at our goals.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Two of our band members were born and raised in Los Angeles, so we’ll let them take the lead here.

We’d like to dedicate our shoutout to Brandon Baumann, an incredible musician, vocalist and mentor of ours. He’s an incredibly hard worker and has the greatest attitude about the industry.
