We had the good fortune of connecting with Janet(yanny) Velasco and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Janet(Yanny), what makes you happy? Why?
Content creating makes me happy. It makes me happy because I am able to express myself artistically. I can pretty much express myself creating a look, whether if I’m feeling natural glamorous, I am able to express myself by creating different looks.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I do beauty for the most part. I turn on my camera and record looks. I enjoy creating easy makeup looks that anyone can achieve without experience or want to learn. I also enjoy sharing and reviewing new products that my I feel my audience might want to try. I am so proud of myself for keep because I keep going and connecting with more people. I got where I am today because I kept pushing and going even after having thoughts of quitting. My supporters who have been there for me since day one supporting me are the ones who kept me going and keep me going. It has definitely not been easy specially now with algorithm changes it’s a little harder to get noticed. Lessons that I have learned a log the way is to not be to trusting with certain things about your personal life with others. In my opinion personal life should be excluded even though I know sometimes people relate to you but best if you try to keep that out because as for some it may make you or for some break you if you are not well emotionally. I would love the world to know that I am just an ordinary human being that I am easy to approach and talk to. I love and enjoy chatting with my supporters that I run into.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite spot to visit in the city would be the beautiful city of Malibu. It has great beach views. The Matador State Beach is one of my favorite spots to visit. Paradise Cove is a beautiful restaurant that I enjoy eating at also again nice view of the beach.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to think my supporters because they keep me going along with different brands that I am connected with like Ipsy, Pixi, The founder of 213 deli Corey. Also my photographer Sarah who is always very encouraging.
