We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmine and Lorenzo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jasmine and Lorenzo, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Though we had been dreaming about “Spaghetti Western” well before we could turn it into reality, we had absolutely NO experience in the restaurant industry. We are both originally from Rome, Italy but met in Los Angeles in 2012 and have been playing music together for over 10 years now. We fell in love with the high desert and moved out here full time in 2017. There was an immediate connection with the desert and most of all, we were struck by the deep sense of community out here. After the pandemic, we all craved “togetherness” so strongly that when the opportunity arose to turn “Spaghetti Western” into reality, we went for it! The building had been vacant since 2018, but the moment we walked in, we knew immediately that this was it. Loads of character and western decor, perfect for merging our Italian traditions with the “far west” and creating a space for the community to gather and make new memories. Once we decided to move forward, everything started falling into place very quickly.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What we feel sets us apart is the intention behind our business. We created “Spaghetti Western” as an extension of our home. We have always loved cooking, entertaining friends and family and exchanging meaningful moments around the dinner table. This is who we are and what we most enjoy. We are also excited to celebrate music and art and share the space with so many talented artists. Creativity is a force of nature that cannot be stopped. We are honored to be cultivating an interactive experience that ties everything we love into one: good food, great art, and meaningful connection.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The desert is an extraordinary place, full of wonder, beauty, adventure and mystery. There are so many incredible spots to check out! These are our top favorites these days: The Big Morongo Canyon Preserve
The Sand to Snow National Monument
Mission Creek Preserve
Pioneertown
Giant Rock
The Noah Purifoy Desert Art Museum
Joshua Tree National Park
The 29 Palms Inn
The Palms in Wonder Valley

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We’d like to dedicate our shoutout to Lorenzo’s mom, Paola, and Jasmine’s friend & mentor, Janice. Thank you for your endless encouragement, love and strength.
We’d also like to thank our General Manager, Simone Burg, our Head Chef, Chris Shurley, and our entire Spaghetti Western team. We would not be here without you and are so grateful for all your support, efforts, and dedication. Grazie!
